Analysis of Valiant Tongue
Grace good grades
but not for the girl
at the immigrant’s
traditional home
With pride her tongue
found a good reason
to deviate from his rule:
“Speak your native,
you’re not in school!”
So she sniped her consonants
and aimed her vowels witfully
adjacent to her father’s accent
Nourishing this pronouced talent
ten years later she gained fame
being a vocal artist in her own name
