Analysis of Boxes
man-size
silver boxes
stacked 3 high
on lift truck forks
in mechanical parade
all night long,
as planes close doors
and scream away
to runway queue
for their turn
to break the bond
of tire and pock-marked
landing strip
as blue-flamed engines burn.
Rise, dark angels…
Take them home to mom.
