Analysis of Mother of Destitude

Solemn arrangement, gorgeous earthen idol,
dazzling lights, colorful dresses, rhythmic bits of drums, chanting of priests,
at the corner standing a tattered clothes girl.

All eyes are seeking
the beauty of creativity
but her hunger eyes are fixed on
the food has been offered to deity.

Worshipping has been completed.
The food has been distributed among the children, even among the elderly people.
But the little girl remains famished.

Joys are radiating from every face.
But two faces are pale.
One is her deity mother
and another is standing with tearful visage.
