Analysis of Wakes of Love

Paul Weaver 1964 (Virginia)

Here I am still floating in life's sea.
Sailing it over and over looking for you.
Swell after swell waiting for your wake.
Wondering when i shall be able to see you.
Day after day i wait to see your ship.
Dreaming of that day when your in my view.
For how glorious it shall be to hold you.
Your love brightens my life.
Knowing your out there wanting me.
I feel your love everyday in my heart.
Wave upon wave on this sea it's worth it.
When night falls and i look to the stars.
They comfort me as they bring you to mind.
As i continue my journey to you my love.
The day i lay eyes on you I'll be blessed.
And riding these waves of life will be done.
The only sailing then will be in love.
And the only wakes will be in our loving.
When our ships meet they will be one.
