Analysis of Lover's Cacophony

Oh, to rest one’s head upon the shivering shoulder of love personified,
Oh, to feel the pulsating, incessant nagging, a nagging from deep within one’s soul.
It beckons, pulling you ever downward to something you know will only destroy you, eviscerate you, leave you a bloodied mess on the floor.
It smells of your mother’s favorite perfume growing up,
And tastes sour as licking a battery,
Yet you crave it, you relish in it, you desperately claw and grasp for it when it threatens to leave.
You hesitate to sharpen your dagger,
You hesitate to take control.
Bodies intertwined, emotions entangled, pleading on both sides.
A most cataclysmic symphony becomes your state of being,
For the longer you wait, the louder the beast bellows.
But things will be fine, so long as you keep letting her use your credit card.
