Analysis of Less Sensational

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Anyone who has survived being victimized,
By innuendo and lies told.
Will know that truth to have it said,
Is less sensational...
Than ruining someone's life.
Regardless who they are.
Or what they had done to ignore,
A taking for granted...
Opportunities now to have and exist,
Were not theirs to have before...
It was decided,
A sacrifice to volunteer done to do it.
To provide those ungrateful,
With more opportunities to come.
Is not enough for the ones,
Evaluating how who does what to do.
To have done it without arguing.
Or committing oneself to a seeking,
Of approval and acceptance.

'People like that don't deserve a THANK YOU!
Not the way they seek attention to get it.'

'People like who?
Who are you talking about?'

'People who don't bother to ask us,
For our opinion and what they should do.
Before they choose not to do that,
To get things done!
Not only is it disgraceful but appalling.'

'And to think...
How inconsiderate their actions to take.
Just to prove their selfishness!'

'No. Don't get me wrong.
What they did to do brought to us benefits.
We just don't like the fact,
We were not given any credit.'

'Credit?
Credit...for...what?'

'Providing the motivation and initiative!
