Don't Foget to Dream

Once there was an ant named Jack
Who lived inside an old wood shack
There, he lived with his friends
Who sought to be there for years on end

But little Jack aspired for more
He wanted to see the sights galore
Paris, New York, France and Peru
He wanted to see the ocean so blue

But more than anything he yearned to see
The moon that changed the tides of the sea
He dreamed of sitting and looking below
At the clouds on Earth, moving so slow

He ached to watch the sun spin 'round
And hear not a peep, not one little sound
He longed to sit up there and be
The most special ant you would ever see

But alas, that’s all he was
Just an ant, he was no great Oz
And he knew that it couldn’t happen
That he would stay in that old wood cabin

But still at night he would sometimes dream
Of running through meadows, oh so green
Of seeing the buildings light up a city
Of seeing the golden beaches, so pretty

And some days, when he dared to dream more
He dreamed of the moon, that he wished for
